Greasy Bilge-Rat Agouti

Greasy Bilge-Rat Agouti
Illustration Copyright Chris Pallace, 2005.
Drawn for Skallywaggs card game.

Not every character in Skallywaggs is helpful, but that's OK. After all you can play any character on any player in the game. So the Mutineer in your hand is a valuable weapon against your opponent.

Greasy Bilge-Rat is a collection of favorite moments. I can't tell you what I like best. He's the mutineer- it takes a lot of craft to turn a crew against their captain. One hand touches his knife in an implied threat. One hand's in his money pouch with the promise of a bribe. I love the sea-sick rat in his pocket, and the scheming rat rubbing his cute little paws together by the Mutineer's feet. And let us not forget the cheese pants.

BTW 'Agouti' is the specific breed of rat that was first kept as pets.
